Version 0.29

FOG version 0.29 has finally been released, please download it and let us know what you think!  We have made a large number of changes to the code with this release, and added a large number of new features.

The client service has been modified, so all client modules should be updated on clients running a previous version of FOG, this can be done with the client updater service module.

We want to thank the The Tightwad Tech for having us on their show.  The podcast with FOG should be released this Thursday, the 25th.

We are also working on getting all new features documented, so please check out wiki for those changes.

Thanks for your continued use and support of FOG!

Hello Fog team

Just wanted to type a bit of my story and say keep up the good job on this great software guys.
I support 250 machines and I have been fighting for 2 years and a half with the IT department to get an imaging solution. We had a ridiculously slow Internet connection and an IT that I will spare you my opinion on them.
I offered every option there was, even independent images that I would only have my work time to spend on. To give you an example of how bad things are with the connection it takes 2-3 days to get all the windows updates (they also refuse to use the WASUS server a consultant company installed of them).
All were rejected including fog but I finally managed to convince our department to use fog on a Ubuntu machine using PXE. It takes me about 15 minutes to prepare a computer now and its all thanks to you guys.

Go guys go!

Thank you for your Hard work! With 1 suggestion

Execlent free software I have been testing it on my home computers. The only thing I ask for is to be able to use NAS (Network Attached Storage) drive to be able to put the Images to with that I think that Fog will be complete.

Thank you for your Hard work!!!!

Upgraded to 0.29 the other

Upgraded to 0.29 the other day, and its running like a dream, highly recommended.
Thanks again for your efforts

cool a bit easier for the new

cool a bit easier for the new fog server at school.
especially seeing we would like to have the windows 7 image for next semester

Driver issues

Have you ever experienced any issue with drivers after deploying your images?
We also had issues with our NIC not being recognized, but there was a from which the developer Jian Zhang stated that after downloading the latest kernel E1000E NIC will be recognized.
So far fog seems to be the best cloning solution.
