FOG - Release Candidate

The FOG Project team has been working hard on the next release of FOG and would like to get some help testing it out. This release includes a great deal of changes from the previous version and we would like to we would like to address as many issues as possible before release. Please help us out by downloading the latest version with the following command:

mkdir ~/fog-rc
cd ~/fog-rc
svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk .

Then install as normal from the fog-rc directory.

Maintenance - December 28th

FOG Project will be offline for up to a few hours as we migrate to a new VPS provider on December 28th around 10:00pm CST. This will affect the main site, wiki and forum. Thanks for your understanding.

FOG Project Forums

As many of you may have already noticed, the FOG Project forums have been moved. Check out and register for the new forums at http://fogproject.org/forum (Show Peter some love for his hard work!). We will be shutting down access to the old forums at Source Forge January 1st, 2012, so we strongly encourage you to post your questions to the new forums. Enjoy!

Version 0.32 Released

We have released version 0.32 of FOG which includes a few bugs fixes as well as some performance improvements.  For the full list of changes, please see our wiki.

Minor bug in 0.31!!!

There was a minor bug in 0.31 where it doesn't correctly redirect for the schema update.   We have taken down the problematic version and we have released a new build.  The new version has an MD5 checksum of:  af49c16cb5d9a3af3a47fbda37d5db51

You can get the checksum on your downloaded file by running:

md5sum [fogdownloadfile].tar.gz

If you downloaded and installed the version with the bug, don't panic, you can either reinstall the new build or navigate to the schema updater manually via:

Version 0.31

We are proud to release version 0.31 of FOG!  It includes a cleaner and faster web UI (thanks Peter Gilchrist) as well as a few bug fixes.  Please download it and let us know what you think.

Presentation at IETC - November 18th, 2010
